Bogdan Ciobanu, Director General, National Research Council

Bogdan Ciobanu is the Director General of the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP). He is a mechanical engineer and holds an MBA from the John Molson School of Business.
Bogdan has an extensive background in computer aided manufacturing and mechanical design. As an executive, he has a successful track record in business strategy, marketing of technology and innovation management.
Before joining IRAP, Bogdan worked in R&D and consulting for a major research organization, in sales and marketing for a distributor of computer numeric control machines and in senior management for an engine parts manufacturer.
