Karen E. Wilson – Consultant, Structural Policy Division, Science & Technology Directorate at OECD

Karen works in the Structural Policy Division of the OECD Science and Technology Directorate. She also works as a Senior Fellow at the Kauffman Foundation, responsible for Europe. She is currently a Board Member and Advisor of the European Foundation for Entrepreneurship Research (EFER) and serves as a member of the European Leadership Council for Harvard Business School.

In 2004, she founded GV Partners, a firm working with both start-ups and initiatives to facilitate the development of a broader entrepreneurial ecosystem. Focus areas include finance, policy and entrepreneurship education. She has authored many papers on these topics. Prior to founding GV Partners, Karen worked with a leading pan-European venture capital firm, Index Ventures. Previously, she was part of the senior management team at the World Economic Forum in Geneva,Switzerlandand, before that, served as the Executive Director of the Global Initiative at Harvard Business School. Her past experience also includes management consulting, primarily in financial services, as well as investment banking.

She received, with honors, a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Management from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
