Peter Carrescia – Managing Director, OMERS Ventures
In his role as Managing Director of OMERS Ventures, Peter Carrescia is responsible for leading investment activities in the North America market focusing on high-growth companies in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors.
Prior to joining OMERS Ventures, Peter spent more than a decade at a leading Canadian venture capital firm, where he was a General Partner focusing on software and infrastructure technologies. Earlier in his career, Peter gained extensive high technology experience in areas such as software development, sales and technical marketing. His previous roles included Senior Technology Evangelist at Microsoft and National Technology Manager in the IBM Software Group, where he managed a national team of system engineers that marketed and supported IBM software technologies.
Peter holds a Joint Honours B.Math. in Computer Science and Business Administration from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business.
